Patricia Fowler Brown
CUMBERLAND – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Patty on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was 66.
Patty was born April 22, 1956, in Rumford, to the late George and Phyllis Fowler. She attended Rumford schools, graduating in 1974.
She married Lee Brown in August 1976. They shared 46 years of marriage, making their home in East Andover and raising three children. Patty stayed home when her children were young and later spent many years working at Andover and Meroby Elementary Schools. In retirement, Patty and Lee enjoyed camping, boating, birdwatching, and spending time with family.
Patty valued honesty, perseverance, and kindness. A friend to all, she always showed up with that beautiful smile and a way to make you feel at home. She was a shining example of what it means to be a truly good person.
She is survived by her husband; their children Casey Harris (Ryan), Lynsey Andrews (Ian), and Michael Brown (Katie); her two hugga buggas, Sylvie and Tilly; sisters Luanne Taylor (Mansell) and Sharon Porter (Randy) and their families; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. She leaves behind her beloved chocolate lab, Stella, as well as granddogs Mary Lou, Hank, and Farley.
A private Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine in Patty’s honor.
