Our Handy Neighbor Program is up and running. If you are over 60 and have outdoor chores you can’t handle, call our service number (below) to request a team of high-schoolers to help.

Saturday, September 17, 10-3 (​Rain or shine), Bethel Common: HarvestFest – arts, crafts, music, a farmers’ market, loaded baked potatoes, burgers, an apple pie cookoff, and much more.

Saturday, September 17, 9-1: Saturday Market at the Bethel Methodist Church, Main St.

Sunday, September 18, 10 a.m.: outdoor ecumenical (all faiths/denominations) service, followed by CROP Walk (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty). Activity stations for all ages to educate about hunger and what Church World Service (who sponsors CROP walks) is doing to help with hunger relief.  Everything will take place at the Common this year. You may donate toward CROP either at Harvest Fest on Sept. 17 or at the event itself.

Bethel Food Pantry, first and third Wednesday of each month, 9-2.

Community Suppers (free, open to all) – last Wednesday every month, 4:30-6 p.m., Bethel Alliance Church. Eat-in or take-out.

Conversation, coffee, and a bagel or doughnut, every Thursday, 9-noon, Bethel Alliance Church; come for one hour or all three.

Health
The new booster shots from Moderna and Pfizer, which are formulated to better target the omicron variants that are currently circulating, have the all-clear from health officials and are now available (Walgreens in Bethel and elsewhere).
