DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Board of Selectmen welcomed newly-elected board member Bob Withrow to his first selectmen’s meeting Monday evening. Withrow won his seat to the board as a write-in candidate in the town’s annual election earlier this month.
Withrow’s first meeting may well be his shortest, barely five minutes long, as it was a special meeting to vote on two carry-over budget requests.
The selectmen voted to carry over$3,200 of the Dixfield Ludden Library repair fund for the institution’s HVAC system and $50 of the town office administration funds to the next fiscal year’s budget.
In addition, it was announced that the East Dixfield Fire Department received a new firetruck on Monday, according to Dixfield Town Manager Eugene Skibitsky.
