Rena Ann Mynahan

LEWISTON – Rena Ann Mynahan, 84, our loving, courageous Mother passed away peacefully at Montello Manor on Saturday Oct. 8, 2022, with her six children by her side.

Born on May 25, 1938, Rena was the daughter of Osias and Jeannette (Verreault) Beauregard. Working at home as bookkeeper for the family business for many years allowed her to raise her six children before working at the deli/bakery at Hannaford’s in Lewiston, retiring after 25 years.

Raised and educated in catholic schools in Lewiston and Trenton, N.J, she was an active member of Holy Trinity Parish serving as Eucharistic Minister for many years and was an active member of LACO.

Mom loved her children, husband and the entire extended Mynahan and Beauregard families, especially her brother, Richard and sister, Adela. Mom gave her love deeply and her laugh was contagious. She enjoyed doing home makeovers, gardening and playing scrabble on the deck with her three dogs, Daisy, Dolly, and Pele by her side and dining out.

Rena is survived by her children Linda (Michael) Greenstein, Brunswick, Mary Mynahan-Curry (William), Lisbon, Gary (Lisa) Mynahan of Gray, Kathleen (Craig) Oliver-Gorris, Cumberland, John (Angela) Mynahan, Jr., Lisbon, Christopher (Brandi) Mynahan, Lewiston; her brother, Richard (Pauline) Beauregard of Highland, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews she loved each dearly.

Rena was predeceased by her husband, John L. Mynahan, Sr.; her parents Osias and Jeannette (Verreault) Beauregard; and her sister, Adela Freve; nephews Timothy Mynahan, Joseph Mynahan, and Scott Sullivan.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Lisbon Falls on Friday Oct. 14. The following day, Oct. 15, a mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 67 Frost Hill, Lisbon Falls, at 11 a.m. and a burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
