Ronald J. Alward
LEWISTON – Ronald J. Alward, 68, of Lewiston, passed away Oct. 11, 2022 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born Aug. 31, 1954 in Boston, Mass., the son of Phil Cena and Louise M. DiMaggio.
Ronnie, regardless of his circumstance, was truly a happy, humble, positive, generous, self giving, grateful and loving person his entire life. His faith in God accompanied him through life. Ronnie is a role model to all and a gift to many. He will be sadly missed by his friend, Elvis (Don Boudreau), Ronnie was his biggest fan!
He is survived by four sisters, Darlene Alward, Domenica Rivera, Jonnie Rose Clark and Letteria DiMaggio, a brother, Richard DiMaggio, a brother-in-law, Mark Clark, a sister-in-law, Stephanie DiMaggio; godchild and niece, Stephanie Louise DiMaggio, along with so many nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was predeceased by his father, Phil Cena and his mother, Louise M. DiMaggio
Visitation Fortin/Auburn will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at The Fortin Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 122 Ash St., Lewiston.
