PORTLAND — Murray, Plumb & Murray recently announced the addition of a new associate attorney, Chelsea (Fournier) Callanan, a Lewiston native, to its Portland firm.
Her practice will focus primarily on general corporate law and intellectual property law, with an emphasis on working with businesses in the creative economy and technology fields, and clients in need of creative protection strategies for intangible assets and trademarks.
Callanan received her law degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law, where she served as the research editor of the Maine Law Review.
Callanan most recently served as an associate attorney at Furman Gregory Deptula in Biddeford. Prior to that, she was a member of the business and intellectual property groups at Preti Flaherty Beliveau & Pachios LLP in Portland.
Active in the community, she serves as a director on the board for Maine Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and is an advisory board member for the Bates Dance Festival. She was recently chosen as one of the state’s “Forty Under 40” emerging leaders by Maine Today Media. Callanan holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Bridgewater State College.
She currently lives in Portland with her husband.
