Ann M. Vilasi Danzig
SOUTH PARIS – Ann M. Vilasi Danzig, 79, of South Paris, peacefully made her way to be with Jesus Dec. 3, 2022.
Ann was born June 8, 1943, the daughter of Myrtle (Morrill) and Sebastian Vilasi. Ann was raised in Stoneham, Mass. where she attended school and waitressed at her family restaurant “Jerry’s Restaurant” in Stoneham Square. An avid Bingo player was a great cook, and loved Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays for that reason. She always had something cooking in the kitchen when you arrived.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, Myrtle and Sebastian Vilasi; a brother, Joseph Vilasi, sisters, Gerri, Mary and Carol Ann Vilasi; and her love Emery Hooper.
Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be missed by many people that she cared deeply for. She always said that she was blessed and she meant it. Ann was blessed with the best of the best.
Ann is survived by three wonderful children, Richard and his fiancé Denise of Oxford, her son Jeff of Florida, and her daughter, Sandie DelGreco and her husband Anthony of Salem, N.H; grandchildren Alicia Danzig of Minneapolis, Minn., Jessica Danzig and her wife Kristin of Saint Cloud, Minn., Amanda Danzig of Stoneham, Mass., and Ricky Danzig of Norway, Maine, Taylor Powers-Danzig, Rachel Danzig, Breanna Santella, Courtney Lynch, Taylor Reeves; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Ford of Stoneham, Mass., Lois Hardy of Oxford, best friends Judy Eagan and Jimmy Story; nephews William McNamera, Bobby Price and his sisters, Karen Gurney and Debbie Laverdiere; and her great-grandchild Orion.
Ann loved road-trips, taking her grandchildren to Maine and had many trips with her friends. She loved playing cards with her dear friends, Helen Napoli, Sharon Walsh and Judy Eagan. Ann’s favorite holiday was Christmas and she always made it extra special for her grandchildren. Jay Hubbard helped play a huge part in bringing her idea of Christmas together for many years at her house on Lee St in Stoneham.
Anyone who knew Ann knew that she could cook! Her Sicilian nature of feeding anyone who stepped foot in her kitchen brought her the most joy all of her life. From her stuffed mushrooms to her Pizzeles and homemade limoncello and everything in between.
Thank you to all of the people involved in helping Ann live peacefully at home until she passed. First and foremost, her son Rick and her friend Sharon Nobles. Her dear friend Troy Roma, Valerie, Mary, Natasha, Cheryl, Karen, and Debbie and many other friends and family. She will be deeply missed by us all. May you rest in the absolute sweetest peace until we meet again.
There will be a celebration of life at a further date for family and friends.
