Gospel singers

LIVERMORE — The East Wind Gospel singers will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the North Livermore Baptist Church, 619 Federal Rd.

They are a Maine based Southern Gospel group that was founded in 1987, and have performed throughout New England and Canada. The base group includes Norma and Charles Barrett, John Guy and Phil Perry. Recently Charles’ and Norma’s daughter and son-in-law have joined the group.

All are welcome, refreshments will be served and donations will be accepted.

Book, bake sale

RANGELEY — The Rangeley Public Library will hold the annual book and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the library on Lake Street. This sale which supports the library features a huge assortment of gently used books, collectible books and baked goods.

Voter reunion

STRONG — The Voter Family annual 2011 reunion will be held Sunday, July 31, at David Conant’s home on True Hill. A potluck dinner at noon will be followed by the meeting and auction. Attendees are asked to bring a chair, dish for meal, sunglasses and an item for auction. All are welcome. Visit www.voterfamily.org for more information.

Golf tournament

FARMINGTON — Bangor Savings Bank & Kyes Insurance will sponsor LEAP’s fifth annual Golf Tournament Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Sandy River Golf Club.

All proceeds will benefit LEAP, Inc. and its non-medicaid funded programs.

The formal start time is at 1 p.m. with a barbecue and refreshments to follow the end of the tournament. Course registration is limited to 72 players.

Registration to start at 11 a.m. Prior reservations are strongly suggested. The cost will be $30 per golfer or $100 for a team of four.

1976 reunion

TURNER — The Leavitt High School Class of 1976 will hold its 35 year reunion from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Great Outdoors. All class members are invited. Admission is $25 per person.

The Great Outdoors offers swimming, canoeing and other outdoor games. There will also be a potluck supper, music and dancing.
