OXFORD — A Bridgton motorcyclist and his boy passenger were badly injured Monday in a crash on Route 26.
According to Officer James Richardson of the Oxford Police Department, Michael Chaine, 39, of Bridgton was riding a 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle south on Route 26 about 1:25 p.m. when it collided with a 2006 Ford Focus driven by Gary and Christine Ross.
Richardson said Ross was stopped and waiting to turn in to Oxford Auto Sales and Service, north of the Lost Gull Fish and Chips eatery, when Chaine hit him from behind.
He said Chaine and the boy, who was not identified but who was 12 or 13, were both rushed to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Richardson said the boy was wearing a helmet but Chaine was not.
