Lobster rolls

DIXFIELD — The Congregational Church in Dixfield will hold a lobster roll supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 29, in the Annex on High Street. There will also be chicken rolls. Lobster will cost $7.50 and chicken will cost $6.50. The menu consists of 100 percent lobster (or chicken) meat rolls, cole slaw, macaroni salad, dessert and a beverage. Takeout will be available. Society supper

CARTHAGE — The Carthage Historical Society will hold a supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Town Office. The menu will include beans, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese and spaghetti. The cost for the supper will be $6.

Chicken barbecue

RUMFORD — A chicken barbecue will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Blazing Star Lodge on Route 232 in Rumford Corner. Menu includes chicken, mashed potato, green beans, stuffing, macaroni salad, cole slaw, gravy, cranberry sauce, coffee, punch and pie.

Bean supper

PARIS — First Baptist Church of Paris at the top of the hill will hold an old-fashioned bean supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. The menu will be baked beans, brown bread, hot dogs, casseroles, salads, biscuits, desserts and beverages. Adults will cost $7; ages 12 and under will cost $3.50. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the Food Pantry.

Golf tournament

MEXICO — Eagle’s annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place at Oakdale Country Club on Sunday, Aug. 7. This event is a fundraiser for Hope Association of Rumford, with many donations from the community.

Raffle tickets are on sale for $1 or 6 for $5 at The What Not Shop.

Seniors trip

RUMFORD — Rumford Senior Citizens will take a trip to “The Wiz,” a musical play in Brunswick on Friday, Aug. 12. The cost is $50. There will also be a mystery trip on Sept. 21 costing $40, which includes the meal.
