Rita D. Letourneau

LEWISTON – Rita D. Letourneau, 76, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday morning Feb. 9, 2023, at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Auburn on Feb. 21, 1946, a daughter of the late Romeo and Alexandrine (Dupere) Dallaire. Rita was educated in Auburn schools, attended Edward Little High School and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On Feb. 23, 1963, she married the love of her life, Robert Letourneau of Lewiston and together they settled in Lewiston to raise their family.

During her working years, Rita worked as a Bookkeeper for many years at Easy Rent-All and later owned and operated a childrens’ daycare out of her home for several years until her retirement.

Rita was a lady of faith and attended Holy Family Church for many years. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and cooking, but most of all, her greatest pleasure and joy was her family and grandchildren.

Rita loved and cared for them immensely in every way, creating a comfortable and loving home for many years. She was a loving, devoted and hardworking wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Rita leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Letourneau of Lewiston; her three children daughter Linda Letourneau and wife Patricia Fox of Arlington, Mass., son Gerry Letourneau and wife Brenda of Lewiston, and daughter Cheryl Brushwein and husband Gary of Auburn; a special niece Jean Angela Carter and husband David of Greene; seven grandchildren Alex Brushwein of Lewiston, Ian Brushwein of Auburn, Mason Brushwein of Auburn, Julian Fox of Arlington, Mass., Rosa Fox of Arlington, Mass., Rylee Letourneau of Lewiston and T.J. Ferland and wife Destiny of Sabattus; three great-grandchildren Levi, Wyatt and Audrie; and a sister-in-law Betty Dallaire of Lewiston. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Lorraine Dallaire and a brother Normand Dallaire. 

Visitation Fortin Group / AUBURN Mon. Feb. 13th from 3 – 7 p.m.

Funeral Service in the funeral home Tues. Feb. 14th at 10 a.m.

Committal to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
