UPDATE: Police report Clarence Patten has been safely located.
TURNER — Authorities are seeking the whereabouts of a 47-year-old Turner man to check his well-being.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert on Thursday for Clarence Patten, who was last seen Wednesday evening walking into the woods near his home on Trask Road.
Patten, who experiences some mental health issues, is a white male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes, according to a statement from Shannon Moss, spokeswoman at Maine Department of Public Safety.
Anyone who has seen Patten or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call 207-753-2599 and ask for Sgt. Kachnovich.
