POLAND — The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot, and Poland is proud to announce its RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient for January, Kaiah McGarry. Kaiah, an eighth grader from Bruce M. Whittier Middle School, is described by teachers as a kind and humble student who stands out as a leader and a clear choice for the Optimist award.
She is a focused student who is always eager to do well. People listen when she speaks because she is a thoughtful and quiet voice of reason who empowers others.
