Heather Anne Sellars

AUBURN – Heather Anne Sellars, 51, beloved daughter of David and Anita (Hines) Sellars passed away on February 3, 2023 at the Hospice House in Auburn after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Lewiston on September 3, 1971. She leaves behind her parents and devoted sister Nell Sutherland of Portland, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Heather attended Durham schools and was a graduate of Brunswick High school. She graduated from Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics in Woburn, Mass. After graduating, she began a career at Lucinda’s Day Spa in Cumberland.

After 22 years as an esthetician, Heather was ready for a new challenge. She pursued a degree in radiology at MCPH in Lewiston and became a radiologist technician. At the time of her death, Heather was employed at Trident Care.

Heather was an independent soul, marching to the beat of her own drum. She was loyal, kind and brought joy and laughter to those around her. Heather loved being outdoors camping, hiking and especially kayaking with her sister and mother. Heather loved her trips to Bar Harbor with her mother, sister and dear friend Gina. She enjoyed gardening. Her mother once said that every seed she planted came up. Heather loved to drive and seek adventures. Her father said that she should have been a truck driver.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the spring with a date being announced.
