BETHEL — Titcomb Mountain in Farmington hosted the 3K Classical race for more than 10 schools and clubs in Western Maine. Racing for Telstar Middle School, Lillian Smith found herself on the top podium spot, placing first in the state meet with an 11:51, more than 41 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Tess Smith placed 8th with 13:39. Osie Hedden (14:50) placed 16th edging out Isla Decato who placed 17th with 14:58. The Telstar Boy’s team has dwindled to but one boy- Davon DeGruttola! Davon placed 31st (14:44) from a field of more than 50 boys.
The Telstar team will race once more after February break when the State Freestyle meet is rescheduled.
