PARIS — In honor of January being Vocational Service month, the Oxford Hills Rotary Club has invited guest speakers to come to our meetings and share their vocation with the members. Each speaker is thanked and presented with a framed certificate of appreciation. Recently, Jeff “Pete” Preble, a Past President of the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Club (and brother of our own PP David Preble) shared his vocation as a Civil Engineer with Wright Pierce. It was nice to hear construction is alive and well and impressive to see some of the projects they have done.

Co-Owner of Daddy O’s Diner, Aaron Ouellette, shared how he and his wife, Amanda, started out in the hospitality industry and how they’ve worked their way up to celebrating 15 years of owning and operating their Diner with 22 employees on staff. They continue to help the OH Community with their amazing generosity! For more information, go to ohrotary.org or find us on Facebook.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
