LEWISTON — The wedding of Sandra K. Mitchell and Daniel R. Scott was held at 11 a.m. on July 9 outside at the home of the nephew of the bride in Lewiston. Simone Pelletier, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Scott is the daughter of the late Isaac and Elizabeth Bloomer. Mr. Scott is the son of Maynard and Natalie Scott of Buxton.

The bride wore a white satin gown with sculptured Empire waist and hand beading around the neckline, sleeves, hem and opening down the left side of the gown. She carried a bouquet of lavender/blue hydrangea and hanging hydrangea with pearls, ribbon and baby’s breath.

Elizabeth Allen was matron of honor for her sister. Junior bridesmaids were Olivia Allen and Grace Allen, great-nieces of the bride. The flower girl was MacKenzie Perkins of Florence, Ky., granddaughter.

Gary Scott performed the duties of best man for his brother.

A reception followed at the home of the nephew of the bride. The couple will be traveling to Kentucky at a later date. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wis. She moved to Maine in 1974 and worked for an insurance company for more than 25 years. She currently works for the C.W. Hayden Company Inc., as a receptionist/secretary, where she has been employed for the past 11 years.

The bridegroom is a graduate of South Portland High School and a graduate of Southern Maine Vocational Technical institute with an associate degree in fire science. He then graduated from the National Fire Academy in Maryland. He currently is retired from the fire service, after being a firefighter/paramedic for 37 years.
