MECHANIC FALLS — Announcement is being made of the engagement of Tyla Sue Strout and Keith William Davis, both of Mechanic Falls.

The future bride is the daughter of Deborah and Louis Giroux of Rumford and Nancy and Roger Guptill of Mechanic Falls. She is the granddaughter of Emma Giroux of Rumford. She is also the mother of Bryce Strout of Mechanic Falls. She is a graduate of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford. She is employed by Geiger Brothers in Lewiston as a prepress technician.

The future bridegroom is the son of Dorna and Michael Davis of Leeds. He is the grandson of Dorothy Austin of Leeds and Elaine and Norman Davis of Auburn. He is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School and the University of Maine, Presque Isle. He is employed by Katahdin Analytical Services as a chemical extractions scientist.

The wedding will be held in May of 2012.
