Richard P. Belanger

EAST POLAND – Richard P. Belanger, 77, of Harris Hill Road, East Poland, died at his home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, following a long illness.

Born in Lewiston, he was the son of Arthur T. and Muriel Bisson Belanger. Educated locally, he married the love of his life, Gail M. Long, on June 28, 1969.

Prior to his retirement, Richard was employed as an auto body technician for Marc Fournier and Marc Beaulieu. He was an avid outdoorsman, belonging to the Poland Gun Club, and the Poland Snowmobile Club, and loved to hunt and fish, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.

He is survived by his loving wife of East Poland; a son, Scott Belanger and wife Michaeline, a daughter, Kate Laucks and husband Jeremy; three brothers, Gerard, Marcel, and Raymond Belanger, a sister, Racheal; and three grandchildren who he loved very much, Dominique and Deryk Belanger, and Brennan Laucks.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 18, 11 a.m. at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.
