AUBURN — Raymond R. Lavoie, 55, of Poland died Saturday, Aug. 13, in Auburn after a sudden illness.

He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 14, 1955, the son of the late Roger J. and Madeline A. (Nadeau) Lavoie. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1973. He then attended Thomas College for three years. He most recently was employed at the Walmart Distribution Center as a supervisor.

He enjoyed miniature golfing, fishing, year round grilling and barbecuing, camping and most of all he enjoyed supporting his children in sports and music, never missing a game or concert. He is survived by his wife of Poland, the former Patricia Dennis, whom he married on Sept. 16, 1978; a son, Matthew D. Lavoie of Portland; one daughter, Melora R. Lavoie of Poland; and one brother, Gerard R. and his wife, Anita Lavoie, of Auburn.
