PHILLIPS — A Wilton man faces charges in connection with a complaint about loud music at an apartment Saturday night.
Michael Ringer, 42, was charged with disorderly conduct, terrorizing and refusing to submit to arrest.
Police say Ringer was at a Dodge Road second-floor apartment when a first-floor tenant called police at 8:45 p.m. to complain that the second-floor occupants were playing guitars too loud, Lt. Niles Yeaton of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said.
Police received a second call saying that Ringer was fighting with the complainant from the downstairs apartment.
When Franklin County Cpl. Nate Bean and deputies Nathan Reid and Sandy Burke arrived, the complainant said Ringer had threatened him and threatened retaliation if police were called.
When the officers went upstairs to talk with Ringer, he verbally and physically refused to submit to arrest. Apparently he had been drinking, according to the officer’s report.
Police restrained him with handcuffs but had quite a time getting him into the cruiser, Yeaton said.
He was taken to Franklin County Detention Center. He made an appearance in Lewiston District Court on Monday but bail information was unavailable by late Monday afternoon.
