NORWAY — ‘You get a line and I’ll get a pole, let’s all meet at the Fishing Hole!’ aka Butters Park in Norway on Saturday, June 3, from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. for the 8th Annual Norway Family Fishing Festival

This family educational day was created to teach children aged 16 and under how to fish or improve their fishing skills. Once you catch your fish, the Norway Paris Fish & Game Association will help you measure and weigh the fish, show you how to clean it, and grill it on-site, if you wish!

If you are under the age of 16, and a resident of Maine, you are eligible to enter the raffle for the Stuart B. Cummings Lifetime Fishing License Award.

A reminder: the Lake Pennesseewassee outlet from the upstream side of the Main Street bridge downstream to the Route 26 dam by Aubuchon is for those under age 16 to go fishing until June 15.

This event is a collaborative effort of the Norway Parks & Recreation Department, Norway~Paris Fish & Game Association, and Healthy Oxford Hills.
