LEWISTON — The 100 Pine Street Wellness and Recovery Center will hold its 4th annual block party and wellness fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. The center is at 100 Pine Street, the end of Pierce Street, between Pine and Ash, and will be blocked off for the event.

The Wellness and Recovery Center is a nonprofit agency that works with adults who have a mental health disability. The center is a gathering place and focus of self-advocacy for community members experiencing the challenges associated with mental illness for more than 20 years. The center has made great strides in developing community and neighborhood leadership in the Lewiston area.

The center depends on donations and kindness of others who work hard to make this fundraiser event possible. Money raised for this event will help balance the center’s budget.

There will be raffles, crafts, baked goods, yard sale tables, games for the kids and a door prize as well as pizza, sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, sno cones and Friendly’s ice cream, music and a dunk tank.

This year there will be many wellness tables to share their resources with everyone, a stop-drop-and-roll truck along with a ladder firetruck and ambulance for the public to tour and more.
