Androscoggin Bank recently awarded eight grants totaling $17,000 and two donations to nonprofit organizations throughout Maine as part of its ABCommunity Grants initiative. The grants were awarded to: The Nezinscot Guild of Turner ($5,000), Friends of Merrymeeting Bay of Richmond ($2,500), Androscoggin River Watershed Council of Bethel ($2,500), Lake Auburn Watershed Neighborhood Association of Auburn ($1,000), Greater Franklin Development Council of Farmington ($1,000), Norway Historical Society of Norway ($1,000), Brenda Marie Foundation of Monmouth ($1,000), and The Compassionate Friends, Lewiston Chapter ($1,000). Donations of $1,000 were also made to The Gray/New Gloucester Development Corp. and the Oratorio Chorale in Brunswick.
