FARMINGTON — On Saturday, June 17, The Franklin County Animal Shelter [FCAS] will be hosting the mega yard sale at the Farmington Fairgrounds, located at 292 High St. The sale will provide an opportunity for local Franklin County residents to clear out their garages while also helping raise money for the FCAS.

Applications for vendors are available at fcanimalshelter.org/maine-mega-yard-sale-2023. Participants need to download the application, fill it out and return it to the shelter either by mail or in person at 550 Industry Rd. in Farmington with the registration fee.

The cost for registration is $35. Shoppers over the age of seven will pay $1 to enter the event and shop. All proceeds from registration and entrance fees will go to the FCAS. Registration fees are non-refundable, and all spots will be outdoors.

No electricity will be available for the event. Vendors are expected to bring their own tables, tents, umbrellas, canopies and whatever else they may need.

The spaces that are available for registration are approximately 12 ft. by 12 ft. and will be assigned the day of the event. Those who are interested in bringing a trailer for their items to sell will need to alert the shelter beforehand and will potentially have to pay for extra spaces depending on the size of their trailer. Spaces are on a first come, first served basis.

Registered vendors are to arrive as early as 6 a.m. on the day of the event and must have their booth set up by 7:30 a.m. Doors open to the public at 8 a.m. and will close at 2 p.m. Vendors are to enter though the Maple Avenue entrance of the fairgrounds.
