Judy E. Cieslak
AUBURN – Judy E. Cieslak, 79, of Jay, passed away peacefully, June 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn.
She was born Sept. 24, 1943 in Lewiston, the daughter of Eugene “Mickey” Poulin and Helen (Richards) Poulin. She attended the local schools and was a 1961 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.
On Oct. 24, 1964 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married James Cieslak of Gary, Ind. They enjoyed 48 years together before his passing on Dec. 23, 2012.
Her passion was caring for her beautiful flower gardens, but above all, she loved being with her family. We often found her relaxing on the front porch where she had fond memories of years before sitting in the evenings with her husband Jim. Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Dawn Perreault and husband Derek of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Marcy Clark and husband Richard of Buckfield, her son, Ryan Cieslak of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Eric Crowley, Michelle Bailey, Matthew and Morgan Cieslak; and one great-granddaughter, Lydia Grace Crowley; her brother, Daniel Poulin and wife Judy of Jay, sisters Brenda Lachapelle and husband David of Livermore, and Terry Averill and husband Bert of Dixfield; as well as several nieces, nephews; in-laws; cousins; and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and brothers James and Ricky Poulin.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece, Kristy Grasruck, for her years of the special care that she gave to their mom, also to her sister, Terry.
Messages of condolence may be sent to: http://www.finleyfuneralhome.com. A graveside service and interment will be held 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20 at Pleasant View Cemetery, 51 Fayette Rd., Livermore Falls. Arrangements by Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
