Jonathan Duchette

PORTAGE LAKE — Lawrence and Constance Duchette of Portage Lake are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Jonathan Duchette, to Ashley Young, daughter of Peter Young of Westwood, Mass., and Linda Young of Westford, Mass.

Mr. Duchette is a 2002 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and a 2006 graduate of Bates College with a bachelor’s degree in geology. He is currently employed as production manager for Oldcastle Lawn and Garden in Poland Spring and is also pursuing a master’s degree in operations and supply chain management at Southern New Hampshire University.  

Miss Young is a 2003 graduate of Westford Academy in Westford, Mass., a 2007 graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a 2011 graduate of the University of Maine with a master’s degree in oceanography. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in teaching also at the University of Maine and is working toward certification for teaching secondary math and science. She is employed by the University of Maine as a teaching assistant.   

A summer 2013 wedding is planned.
