LEWISTON — Announcement is made of the engagement of Darcie Ann Lapointe and Justin Robert Toops, both of Shawnee, Kansas.

Miss Lapointe is the daughter of Tammy Klemanski and Robert Lapointe of Lewiston. She attended St. Dominic Regional High School and Husson College. She graduated with a degree in elementary education. She currently works for Holy Trinity Early Education Center, teaching preschool to three and four-year-olds.

Mr. Toops is the son of Pati and Howard Toops of Burlington, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy for more than five years, stationed in Brunswick. He has a master’s degree in global business from Southern New Hampshire University and currently works for Interconnect Devices as a field applications engineer.

The wedding will be held March 4 at the Boardwalk Hotel at Disney World in Florida.
