LEWISTON — Jeannette M. Albert, 84, of Montello Manor, 540 College St., died Thursday at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, where she resided for the past six months.
Born in Waterville on May 23, 1927, a daughter of the late Leonard J. and Odile M. Rossignol Hebert, she graduated from Winslow High School in the Class of 1945.
Mrs. Albert was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls and worked at Mammoth Mart and later as a optical office worker. She was married to Lawrence R. Albert who died on Jan. 16,1989, and later married Leo Belisle, who died in 1998.
She volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital and nursing homes. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Auburn Council. She enjoyed family and friends and will be remembered for helping others and her famous cookies.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Albert of Auburn; a son, Richard Albert, and companion Diane Ianotti of Monmouth; four grandchildren, Laura Bilodeau Higgins and husband, Brian Higgins, Melissa Bilodeau and husband, Dana Staples, Austin Albert and wife, Leigh and Ashley Albert; great-grandchildren, Maia and Liam Higgins; and her stepchildren, Louise Wallingford, Diane Pratt and Dennis Belisle.
