DIXFIELD — The Countryfolk Music Theatre on Route 2 in East Dixfield will close out its 12th season of providing country music and youth music scholarship to the community this Sunday, Sept. 4, with a full day of music, pot luck meal, an “Elvis” Look-A-Like Contest at 2 p.m. and a special barbecue at 5 p.m. for musicians and volunteers who have supported the not-for-profit project.

Bisbee said, “Every year we put on the barbecue to thank all those folks that give so much time each summer volunteering to make sure we raise youth music scholarship monies and to help provide a venue for a wonderful community of family and friends of country music.” The menu will consist of burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob and home-cooked beans. Folks can also bring food to cook on the fire pit if they wish.

Music runs from noon to 6 p.m., with two stages and a dance floor and is always free and for families. For more information, call 645-4411.
