Ceneretta M. Ward

FARMINGTON – Ceneretta M. Ward, 87, of Jay, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, July 29, 2023, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was born July 23, 1936, in Livermore Falls, Maine, the daughter of Alton and Mona (Nichols) Jones. Ceneretta was a 1954 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On Sept. 19, 1959, at the First Baptist Church in Livermore Falls, she married Raymond “Whitie” Ward. Ceneretta was a member of the First Baptist Church in Livermore Falls, where she served in many roles over the years that included teaching Sunday School, helping with the church store, and presented for the foreign missions. She was a past member of the New Norland Grange where she held many roles. She loved spending time with her family and her many grandchildren. Ceneretta is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Ward of Jay, three sons; Dennis Ward and wife Laura of Livermore, Dean Ward of Plymouth, and Danny Ward and wife Wendi of Turner, two daughters; Debra Riley and husband Kirk of Scarborough, and Diane Ward and companion Paul Illiano of Biddeford, seven grandchildren; Kayla, Hailey, Michael, Azure, Blake, Finn, and Collin, and many great-grandchildren.
