FRYEBURG — The Pace Galleries of Art, on the campus of Fryeburg Academy, presents the exhibition and opening reception for Fall Into Color, Floral Exhibit on Wednesday, September 13 from 4-7 p.m. at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.
This is the Pace Galleries’ first annual Floral Art Show to celebrate the growers and floral farms of Western Maine. It is intended to highlight the farmers as artists in their own right and to celebrate their craft as artwork, deserving of recognition in a formal gallery space. Participating farms include Moonset Farm, Weston’s Farm, Meadow Ridge Farm, Good Buddy Farm, Stonehill Lavender Farm, Veritas Flora, Sunshine Daydream Farm, and the Fryeburg Academy OLRC Program.
Exhibitors will choose a piece of existing artwork from the permanent collection of the Pace Galleries of Art and create a floral display inspired by it. Both pieces will be presented together in the gallery for visitors to enjoy.
The exhibition will be open to the public on September 13, 14, and 15 from 4-7 p.m. The Pace Galleries of Art is located on the campus of Fryeburg Academy at 18 Bradley Street in Fryeburg.
