AUBURN — L/A Community Little Theatre President Tim Cowan recently presented the Eastman Scholarship to Maria Groover and Maddy Dubois before a performance of the recent CLT production of “The Little Mermaid.”
Both recipients have been active with CLT and were recognized for their dedication and achievement in the performing arts, according to a news release from Roger Philippon, co-executive director at the theater.
A 2023 graduate of Leavitt Area High School where she was a Mitchell Institute Scholar and president of the drama club, Groover is attending Endicott College to major in expressive arts therapy.
Dubois just graduated from Edward Little High School, where she served as drama club president and a member of the National Honor Society. She is heading to Emerson College to major in theater education.
This scholarship is named in memory of Roger and Gertrude Eastman, who were charter members of the theater.
