LIVERMORE FALLS — A local man faces a charge of driving to endanger after police say the vehicle he was operating came within inches of hitting a police cruiser on Saturday on Fayette Road.
Sgt. Steve Allen arrested Christopher Isgro, 22, of Livermore Falls on Saturday night on the charge, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday.
A police officer had stopped another vehicle and was getting ready to clear the scene when he saw a vehicle behind him at a distance going really slowly, Steward said.
The officer thought that the driver wanted to talk to him but instead he went by the cruiser with only inches to spare and no traffic coming in the opposite direction, he said.
The vehicle was stopped and after talking to Isgro and a brief investigation, he was arrested. Isgro’s bail was set at $210 cash.
