Lendall “Lenny” Parsons

MECHANIC FALLS – Longtime Mechanic Falls resident Lendall (Lenny) Parsons went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at the age of 92. Lenny was known for his remarkable memory and love of sharing stories from his younger years. He was an avid reader to the end and spent hours each day reading his Bible and anything to do with history.

Lenny was proud to have served in the army as a high security clearance radio operator. After his army service, he attended Barrington College where he found great joy in learning how research and answer Bible and church related questions brought to him by friends throughout the years.

Lenny served as a long-time trail maintainer for the Appalachian Mountain Club. As a founding leader of the Boy’s Brigade at East Auburn Baptist Church, he spent many weekends on the trail teaching and providing lifelong lessons. Over the years, hundreds of lives have been impacted through his direct involvement as well as his legacy that continues to this day.

Lenny is survived by his brother Dan in Peru and various nieces and nephews throughout Maine.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Auburn Cemetery on Nov. 11, 2023, at 11 a.m.
