“Butch” Henry L. Raymond Jr.
LISBON – “Butch” Henry L. Raymond Jr., 60, of Lisbon, passed away on Nov. 3, 2023, after a courageous six-month battle with lung cancer surrounded by family.
I was born on June 22, 1963, in Lewiston Maine to Henry Sr. and Lorraine (Poulin) Raymond. I was the middle child of seven children and educated in Lewiston schools.
On Oct. 3, 2021, I married Deanna Daly in a small ceremony with family and close friends in attendance. I was self-employed in the building trades for many years including residential and commercial plowing and maintenance for George Gendron.
I was a longtime motorcycle rider with the River Rats. I also enjoyed long weekends at Old Orchard Beach and time with family and friends.
I leave behind, to cherish my memory, wife Deanna, mother Lorraine Raymond, brother Michael Raymond, sisters Debra Paradis, Cyndi (Roy) Faucher-Jordan, Brenda (Jim) Geoffroy, Ann (John) Nault and Becky Raymond, sister-in-law Laura (Rick) Fairbrother. I also leave behind ex-wife of 18 years Melissa, daughter Sonya and granddaughter Kenya, in addition to several nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunt Shirley, many close friends and my cat Luna.
I was predeceased by my father Henry L Raymond Sr, Paternal and Maternal grandparents, many aunts, uncles and brothers-in-law, Norm Paradis and Dan Faucher.
I want to give special thanks to George Gendron, his wife Diane and his great secretary Gayla (Peters) Labonte and to Larry Tardif for all their dedication, help and support since my diagnosis.
Butch’s family wants to thank the Chans Hospice staff (Molly, Pam and Holly) for the compassionate care they provided.
