Regina Judy Martin Grivois

LEWISTON – Regina Judy Martin Grivois, 70, of Lewiston, passed away on Dec. 26, 2023 at Montello Manor. Regina was born on June 5, 1953 the daughter of Ernest and Cecile (Deschaine) Martin in Van Buren. She attended local schools graduating from Van Buren High School.

Regina worked as at Knapp Shoe, as a home health care CNA for many years, at Philips Elements, and Bates College before her retirement. She was a mother to one child Karen Roy whom she loved and raised to be an amazing lady.

She was a quiet keep to herself type of person that loved to cook and bake for others, especially around the holidays. She could also be found knitting slippers for her family, friends, and anyone that she could give them too. Before her passing she cared for and watched over Norman Grivois. She loved to spend time with her one and only grandchild, Amber Roy. They would spend time together putting groceries away, cleaning the house or just talking. Amber described her as her “side kick” with a big heart of gold, caring, generous, and a person that always thought of others before herself. She didn’t travel far but made trips to visit family up north and in Connecticut.

She leaves behind her daughter, Karen (Dave) Roy of Lewiston; granddaughter, Amber Roy, Rosella (John) Charette of Van Buren, Mary Priscilla Carrier of Palm Bay, Fla., Rina Lavoie of Berlin, Conn., Robert (Pauline) Martin of Grand Isle, Edna (Raymond) Nadeau of Portland, Dorine Martin of Van Buren, Rachel (Conrad) Parent of St. Anne De Madawaska Canada, and sister-in-law, Pauline Martin of Hamlin; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Norman Grivois; her parents; and brother, Claude Martin.

There will be a committal service on Jan. 9, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Cemetery on Deer Rd. in Lewiston.
