TURNER — Brianna DeGone converted a pass from Casey Fichter at the 25:32 mark of the second half to help send Levitt to a 2-0 victory over Oceanside in field hockey action Monday.

Six minutes later, Sadie Royer scored on an assist from DeGone to give Leavitt a 2-0 lead. Kayla Royer and Annie Castonguay played well on defense to keep Oceanside off the board.

Goalie Ciara Smalley made 10 saves for Oceanside, while goalie Taylor Eells prevented nine to earn the win in net for the Hornets (4-2).

Boothbay 1, St. Dom’s 0

AUBURN — Boothbay swooped in for a 1-0 victory over St. Dom’s behind an unassisted tally from Meghan Smith in MVC field hockey action Monday.

The Seahawks (3-2-1) outshot the Saints (0-6-1) by a margin of 16-4 in the winning effort.

Goalie Jenna Fongemie was busy in goal for St. Doms, making 16 saves, while goalie Kahla Vice only had to defend against four to earn the win in net for Boothbay.

Gray-NG 1, Poland 1

POLAND — Poland and Gray-New Gloucester battled to a 1-1 double overtime tie in field hockey action Monday afternoon.

The Knights (0-4-1) struck first with 6:39 remaining in the second half as Heidi Chipman converted a deflection off the goalie pad into the back of the net.

The Patriots (0-4-1) responded less than two minutes later when Mikalya Trafford took a slap shot on the opposite post.

Goalie Melora Lavoie faced 13 shots on goal, making 11 saves for Poland. Olivia Rottari faced 10 shots and made nine saves for Gray-New Gloucester.

Girls’ soccer

Dirigo 3, Monmouth 0

DIXFIELD — Junior forward Natalie Bolduc scored the game’s first goal and added another as Dirigo blanked Monmouth 3-0 in an MVC game.

Bolduc’s first goal came on a pass from Miranda Shurtleff seven minutes into the game. Lindsy Crutchfield followed with a score from Alyssa Wade two minutes later for the Cougars (4-0-1). Bolduc capped off the scoring with an unassisted tally.

Natasha Deroche was strong in goal. The junior keeper stopped all 11 shots she faced in the shutout. Natlie Young turned away 12 shots for the Mustangs (4-2).

Buckfield 6, GPC 0

BUCKFIELD — Buckfield received goals from six players to win its first game of the season, a 6-0 victory over Greater Portland Christian on Monday.

The Bucks (1-5-1) scored three times in the first half to take command. The goal scorers were Dakota Warren, Brianna Darling, Allanah Knox, Arrabine Dunn. Daniele Patrie and Taylor Shepherd-Smith. Abby Bragg assisted on two of the goals.

The Bucks outshot GPC, 21-1. Goalie Katie Corson did not need to make a save for the victory. Moriah Foss had nine saves for the visitors.

Richmond 5, Rangeley 1

RANGELEY — Noell Accord scored a pair of second-half goals to lead Richmond to a 5-1 victory over Rangeley in girls’ soccer action Monday.

Danica Hurley contributed a goal and three assists for the Bobcats, while Sadie Gosse and Amber Loon pitched in with a goal apiece.

Olivia Jannace scored on a penalty kick for the Lakers’ only goal.

Lisbon 3, Spruce Mtn. 1

LISBON — Brooke Lawrence scored once and assisted on a second goal to lead Lisbon to a 3-1 victory over Spruce Mountain on Monday.

Haley Eck and Olivia Burgin also scored for the Greyhounds (3-1-1). Alexi Deering scored the lone goal for the Phoenix (4-2).

Alexa Harmon was credited with three saves for Lisbon, while Spruce Mountain keeper Emily Keene made six saves.

Buckfield 7, GPC 2

BUCKFIELD — Buckfield scored five second-half goals to pull away from a tight contest to defeat Greater Portland Christian 7-2 in a Class D boys’ soccer game.

Louis Guillmere opened the scoring with the first goal of the game on an assist from Cody Barker. Dustin Damon put the Bucks (3-3) up 2-0 on a goal assisted by Trevor Averill. Greater Portland Christian’s (2-4) Adam Simpson tallied an unassisted goal to cut the lead in half before halftime.

Guillmere opened the scoring in the second half as well. Barker and Averill followed with goals of their own before Austin Dooley punched in a pair to round out the scoring.

Garrett Hamann and Calvin Downey made five saves in net for Buckfield. Jordan Peters recorded 16 saves in the loss.

Mt. Ararat 1, EL 0

AUBURN — Jason Tome picked up a loose ball and fired it to the back of the net for the game’s lone score as Mt. Ararat slipped past Edward Little for a 1-0 triumph on Monday.

The score came off a throw in where both teams scrambled for possession before Tome got control and scored for the Eagles (5-0-1).

Gabe Pelletier stopped all five shots he faced for the shutout. Red Eddies (1-3-1) keeper Ben Bowles stopped 10 shots in the loss.
