Frederick J. “Ted” Orino

RUMFORD – Frederick J. “Ted” Orino, 87, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at his residence in South Rumford.

Ted was born in Rumford, on Feb. 12, 1936, and was the son of Fred and Victoria (Tersolo) Orino. He was a graduate of Stephens High School class of 1955 and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He owned and operated Orino Waste Oil Heaters, Inc. until his retirement and was the top distributor in the United States for three different waste oil furnace manufacturers. He was a member of the Rumford Elks Lodge, he enjoyed New England sports teams, classic cars, and boats. He enjoyed many summers “upta camp” at South Arm at Richardson Lake.

Ted was married in Rumford, on July 7, 1962, to Janette Arsenault who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include his sons, David of Stratton, John “Jack” of Rumford, Thomas and wife Karen of Nashua, N.H., and their children Dalton and Sophia, a daughter Diane Orino of Rangeley, sisters, Judith Ham of Natick, Mass.A, Kathleen Shields of Rumford and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jack Orino.
