Ronald James Pelletier

LEWISTON – Ronald James Pelletier, 83, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully with his family by his side at CMMC Thursday Jan. 25, 2024.

Ronald was born on Oct. 6, 1940, the son of Stella (Lizotte) and Rosario Pelletier of Lewiston. Ronald graduated from St. Dominic’s in 1961 and married the love of his life Constance Chouinard June 18, 1966. Together they had three children Patrick, Christine, and John.

Ronald was a longtime employee of the Lewiston Sun Journal retiring in 2006. Some of his favorite past times included going to the ocean, boating, candlepin bowling, woodworking, hunting, watching hockey and football, as well as old Western movies.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Constance; his son, Patrick and wife, Marie; Patrick’s son, Ryan Purington; his daughter, Christine and husband Jeffrey and their two sons, Owen and Sawyer; his son, John; a brother, Richard Pelletier and his wife Faye, sister-in-law, Jacqueline Chouinard, a brother-in-law, Gerald Chouinard, who passed away just hours after Ronald, and his wife Jacqueline Morin Chouinard; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws Robert and Fernande Chouinard; and his granddaughter, Amanda Rines.

The family invites you to a time of visitation on Wednesday Jan. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Liturgy of the Word to take place at 6 p.m. at Pinette, Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Pkwy, Lewiston. Committal services will be private for the family.
