NORWAY — On Monday, March 11, from 6:30-8 p.m., the Norway Universalist Church will host a panel discussion on the Gun Safety Legislation that is currently being proposed in the Maine Legislature.
The panel will include representatives from the Health care and Law Enforcement communities, as well as Lynn Ellis, a member of the Maine Gun Safety Coalition. The discussion will focus on the content and reasons for the current legislation, as well as ways we can make our communities safer from gun violence.
The church is located at 479 Main St. and the event will take place in the ground floor Concert Hall. For additional information, contact the church at [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
