Zeke – Meet Zeke! He is a 1-3-year-old Pitbull/Terrier mix who loves to be held like a baby! He is a super adorable sweetheart, though he does not know his own strength. He can get very excited, and tends to jump up on people to get closer to them. He also likes to playfully nibble on hands, especially if you have any treats. He gets along with cats, but he can be a little nervous around other dogs, so he would require a meet and greet with any of your dogs to make sure he is a good fit for your household. He is super affectionate, but his past experiences cause him to react poorly to sudden movements and loud noises. Because of his strength and reactivity, he should go to a home with children over 12. Zeke also does not like to be confined to a kennel, and he is much happier outside of one. He loves to go for walks, though his excitability to be outside coupled with his strength can make him a little difficult to walk. Overall, he is a very sweet boy with a couple quirks, and he is looking for someone to take special care of him and his needs.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
