Anne Marie Lemay
LEWISTON – Anne Marie Lemay, 89, of Lewiston, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Marshwood Center in Lewiston. Born in Auburn on July 15, 1934, she was the daughter of Emilien and Marie-Ange Gagne Turcotte. Educated in local schools, she married the love of her life, Richard A. Lemay, on Sept. 7, 1954. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she worked at the Bates Mill as a weaver until her retirement.
A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by two sons, Paul and wife Chun Lemay, and Maurice Lemay, four daughters, Joline and husband Gontron Jean, Angela Reny, Tina Lemay and Nancy Laverdiere and husband Todd, brother, Jerry Turcotte, twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her identical twin sister, Marie Anne Samson.
Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 11 a.m. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
