Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ is planning services for Holy Week and Easter.
Maundy Thursday will be observed on March 28 at 163 Main St., with members joining Shorey Chapel in Industry at 5 p.m. for a potluck meal followed by worship and a Seder Meal.
An ecumenical Good Friday service on March 29 will be held at the church at 7 p.m. Churches and pastors also participating will be Rumford United Methodist Church, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, and Rumford Point Congregational Church. The Rev. John Hogue of the Mexico church will offer the Good Friday message. All in the community are invited to attend this service.
Easter Sunrise will be observed at 6 a.m. on March 31 at 670 Westside Road in Weld, followed by breakfast at Weld Congregational Church.
Easter Service in Mexico will begin at 11 a.m., with Hogue offering his Spiritual Nugget for the day and an Easter message.
