LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way, is offering workshops for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills to increase their employability.

Hours are Monday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff assisted services, when the information center is staffed, are available Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.

Aging Worker Initiative orientation is offered for those older than 55. It is Oct. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Registration is required.

Career Decision Making is a two-part workshop offered Oct. 3 and 7, or 17 and 21. Registration  is required.

Industry Information Tuesday is to learn about the hospitality, tourism/customer service industry Oct. 18 from 9-11 a.m. Registration required.

Non-Traditional Occupations for Women will meet the first, second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Registration required. Call 213-0602 or [email protected] for appointment.

CareerCenter Training Orientation is an overview of training programs at the CareerCenter, eligibility requirements and information on accessing services. Ask CareerCenter staff for the schedule of meetings and to register (required).

Essentials of College Planning for Adults will have participants bring last year’s income tax forms. Register by calling 800-281-3703.

An adult education representative will be available Oct. 5, 12 or 26, from 10:15-11 a.m.

Orientations for people with disabilities will be held Oct. 21 from 1-3 p.m. Service providers are also welcome to attend.

Gateway to Employment meet every Thursday from 1-4 p.m. On Oct. 20, it will begin at 2 p.m. Registration is required.
