WILTON — Selectmen will consider the appointment of a local county deputy for the position of police chief at their meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the town office.
Heidi Wilcox of Weld is a candidate but has not been appointed, Chairman Terry Brann said Monday. She is a deputy for Franklin County.
An interview committee submitted a couple names for consideration. Brann and Town Manager Rhonda Irish interviewed two applicants but one has withdrawn theirs, he said.
Irish was unavailable for comment.
The board must confirm the appointment, he said.
