To the Editor:
Thank you to our local community of new and loyal patrons for supporting the Bethel Library’s first Spring Fling fundraiser. Although we lost one day due to the recent snowstorm, we counted the first two days as a fun and festive success. The library was hopping with folks getting new library cards, positive energy, socializing, and excitement about the ticket raffle prizes. Thanks to all who participated!
Our used book sale continues with a spring special of $5 per bag of books.
Stay tuned for information on our next fundraiser, the annual plant sale on June 1. Please contact the library if you would like to donate plants or volunteer for the committee.
Stop by to see for yourself how your local library is changing with new library cards, new books and new events. Consider becoming a regular supporter of our programs. More information is available on our Facebook and Instagram pages or at bethellibraryassociation.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
