AUBURN — Jeannette M. Rene, 90, of 143 Mill St., Auburn, and for the past few years a resident at Clover Manor in Auburn, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn.

Born in Auburn Aug. 27, 1921, she was the daughter of Louis and Angelina Bergeron Dugal. Educated in Poland schools, she married Bradley J. Cote of Berlin, N.H. Sept. 3, 1941. Together they raised three children, residing in Maine for most of their lives together, except for six years in California.

She was employed at Knapp Shoe Co., retiring after 25 years. After her husband Bradley’s passing in 1979, she met and married Henri Rene in 1983. Henri and Jeannette lived in Auburn until his passing in 2005.

Survivors include a son, Paul E. Cote and wife, Peggy, of Oxford; two daughters, Jean Crowell and partner, David Gardner, of Poland, and Suzanne Vachon and husband, Roger, of West Paris; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by parents; husbands; a brother, Gerald Dugal; a grandson, William Vachon; and a son-in-law, Joseph Crowell.
