My response to the Lewiston gazebo issue is to please not build a new one at the same size. Make it large enough to invite service bands. Those bands travel all over the country putting on concerts. The larger space would be better for concert bands from within the state.

In the past, I have played many concerts in that gazebo with the St. Cecilia’s boys’ band, and the Le Montagnard Snow Shoe Club concert band on Sunday nights during the summer months. It was crowded then for the players, so, please, don’t make the mistake over again.

I am sure the extra money it would cost would be well worth it, and the concerts would be well attended again.
