Joan Lorraine Kinner

POLAND – Joan Lorraine Kinner of Poland, Maine passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the age of 90. She earned her master’s in education from University of Maine at Gorham and taught third grade at Fairview School for 36 years! Joan was a passionate teacher and put great love into her classroom learning displays, and she was an active member of the educational community. She was also a devoted poodle trainer and won multiple blue ribbons and awards in obedience and agility across America and Canada with her beloved standard poodles.

Joan was predeceased by her parents; William and Gertrude Kinner, siblings, Barbara Clune, Walter and William Kinner, niece Marilyn Sherman, and great-nephew Jeremy Furlong. She is survived by five nieces and their families; Jennifer, Suzanne, Anita, Kathy and Carol. She will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered with a smile and warm heart.
